Laser Hair Removal Downfalls Las Vegas

As a guide to who is suitable for this procedure, one of the main determining factors is coloring. The hair must always be darker than the person's skin color surrounding the area to be treated. Skin with darker pigmentation can absorb too much of the laser energy and so are not ideal candidates for most laser hair removal. If your hairs are light and the surrounding skin is tanned you will not be a candidate for normal sessions either. There are specialty lasers for this type of skin coloring, so check your provider for availibility. If your skin is tanned and you have dark hairs, you may well have to wait until the tan fades before you could proceed. Light skin makes the hair easier to remove, requires fewer treatments and faster results are required. Laser hair removal can be performed on darker skin but requires more sessions, greater expertise and has slower results. Dark, course hair responds best to the procedure as the hair absorbs more energy. Laser hair removal must be individually tailored to each patient. Electrolysis in Las Vegas works for everyone, any skin type, any hair color!

Laser Hair Removal Las Vegas Review

I have had well over 10 laser hair removal treatments on my back over the past 2 years.I have pale skin and dark brown hair. The laser is also being used at its strongest.I was initially told that it would take about 5 treatments to remove the hair permanently and that if any additional treatments were needed they would be free. After the 5th treatment i was informed that touch ups would cost $100.00 each.I was very anxious to get rid of the hair so i agreed.I think i have had some slight success but not much.If i don't get a treatment every month or so the hair is back.I was told by an elecrolisis expert that laser hair removal does not work for permanent hair removal period. That i should get my money back.I have become friends with the doc and feel kind of bad to ask for my money back. But if it really does not work i will.what should i do. I am into body building and must get rid of this unwanted hair.

Waxing Hair Removal Las Vegas

Waxing hair removal is a temporary method of hair removal.

It involves spreading a thin layer of heated wax on the unwanted hair and then covering the wax with a thin piece of paper or cloth which is then rapidly pulled off in the opposite direction of the hair growth.

The hair is pulled out at the root and the treatment typically provides several weeks of hair-free skin before the hair starts to grow back again.

Typically, after several treatments the hair that grows back tends to be finer and softer.

One advantage of waxing hair removal over shaving is that shaving tends to only last for a day or two before the prickly feeling of the regrowing hair is noticeable!

Here are some things to think about if you're considering the waxing hair removal option.Waxing: Benefits

* Can cover larger areas relatively quickly ie. arms, legs, back. * Can provide several weeks of hairlessness which is longer than shaving or depilatories. * Can be done at home. * Is relatively inexpensive when compared to other hair removal options.

Waxing: Considerations

* Some body parts should not be waxed ie. eyes, nose, ears. * Some body parts should be waxed only by a professional ie. genitals. * Can be painful. * Can be messy ie. hot, dripping wax. * Can irritate skin immediately after waxing.

Be Careful of Laser Hair Removal Referrals

So the other day I am working on a client that I've been working on for a few months and she makes the comment....I just received a referral check form American Laser for a person I recommended 11 months ago. Then she wonders why the check took so long to get to her. As the conversation progresses she states that she referred about 5 people to the Laser Hair Removal clinic in Las Vegas and she needed the checks badly. I thought it was interesting because she ended up in my electrolysis office and was receiving treatments for hair that the laser did not remove. This is after a year of treatment and after she could not afford the sky high package deal that laser traps you under for 2 years. I guess the moral of this blog is to do your homework and inquire if the person recommending you to a place is making a financial gain. Honestly if this is the case...they are not concerned that you become hair free....they are trying to recoup their losses that they paid into their package deal.

Laser Hair Removal Misleads You In Las Vegas

Many people have been misled or don't understand the difference between the numerous hair removal options. In order to help you verify the facts I reference throughout this website, two links from the FDA site have been added. By clicking on LASER you will see that only a few methods have been granted the permission to advertise as permanent hair reduction. Notice that they can’t use the phrase permanent hair removal By clicking on ELECTROLYSIS you will see that the FDA stands behind this procedure and uses the phrase permanent hair removal. The only difference between the two statements is reduction and removal. What does this mean for you? By choosing electrolysis your money is backed with an FDA guarantee.

What Causes Unwanted Hair?

It has been estimated that 8 out of 10 women will have unwanted hair at some point in their lives. When you consider the many contributing causes, it is no wonder. Below are just a few of these.

* Fluctuations in hormones present a potential for excessive hair growth. Some examples include:

o Puberty

o Pregnancy

o Menopause

o Stress

* Heredity plays a major role in hair patterns

* Many medications produce hair growth as a side effect

* Glandular disorders cause only a small percentage of unwanted hair growth.

Your electrologist (Me) is trained to refer you to a physician in those cases.

Is Laser Hair Removal Safe After Electrolysis Treatments and Vice Versa?

It is safe and even recommended because laser will not affect blond, white or red hairs and many people have hairs of almost every color in areas of skin that grow hair. If a client finds that they do not have the time or it is inconvenient to continue with electrolysis in Las Vegas on dark hairs, they may choose to have laser to eliminate the time factor in treatment

What About Scarring?

There is always a risk when any invasive procedure is done on the human body, however the risks are very small with electrolysis in Las vegas as long as the electrologist is trained. Immediately after treatment, you should experience a tiny red lesion at each treated follicle much like an insect bite. This lesion will disappear shortly after treatment and the area will return to normal. If there is continued redness for several days or visible scabbing, especially on the face, please report this to the electrologist. The solution could be as simple as changing the type of electrode because of the client's allergy to metal. Scarring from laser is not a common occurrence, since it is not an invasive procedure. It is up to the consumer to determine whether the laser operator has been trained and is using the correct hair removal laser

What is the difference between the way electrolysis works and the way laser works?

With conventional electrolysis in Las Vegas Nevada, no matter what modality is being used, the target tissue in the hair follicle is the moist dermal papilla. This current, whether direct or alternating (RF), causes either a chemical reaction or heats up the moist tissue and destroys it. Great care has to be taken not to administer too much current that would affect the moist ground tissue of the dermis that surrounds the lower portion of the hair follicle. This layer of skin contains the collagen and elastin layers and can be irreparably damaged to being too aggressive with conventional treatment. The laser is different, because it's light is absorbed by the dark pigment producing cells at the bottom of the hair follicle. These are called melanocytes, which means they produce melanin. The heat from the melanocytes is then transferred to the adjacent vascular cells and the heat destroys these cells of the dermal papilla. Because there are no pigment cells in the adjacent dermis, the laser can be turned higher than conventional devices because there is no chance of damage.

Does tweezing cause ingrown hairs?

It can definitely cause ingrown hair, yes. Not always, but sometimes.

It also can make the hair darker and thicker over time depending on the area you're tweezing. Tweezing the face or chin for example is always a terrible thing to do. Tweezing can also distort the root of the hair which makes permanent removal more difficult in the future if you ever decide to remove the hair permanently with electrolysis or laser.

Who is a canidate for laser hair removal in las vegas

Both men and women seek laser hair removal services to have superfluous or unwanted hair removed. Hair removal is commonly done on lip, chin, ear lobe, shoulders, back, underarm, abdomen, buttocks, pubic area, bikini lines, thighs, face, neck, chest, arms, legs, hands, and toes.

Laser is attracted to dark pigment and therefore works best on pale skin and dark coarse hair. The closer you are to this combination (i.e. the lighter the skin and the more coarse and dark the hair), the better the results will generally be after proper treatments.

Alexandrite long pulse laser types work the best on light-colored skin (types I-III - see Question #12 to determine your skin type), followed by diode (skin types I-IV) and Nd:YAG types (skin types IV and darker). Since laser targets the hair by being attracted to dark pigment, using an alexandrite type of laser at settings effective enough to kill the hair on darker skin can result in skin burning or loss of skin pigment (hypopigmentation) because laser will be attracted to the pigment in the skin, not just the hair. Long pulse Nd:YAG lasers were created to cater to dark-skinned patients, so they are safer at effective settings than alexandrite lasers, and are the only hair removal lasers that should be used on those patients given that their hair is coarse enough. Diodes are ok on skin types I-IV.

A set of at least 6-8 treatments at 8-12 week intervals are generally necessary to achieve substantial hair removal with laser. Factors that determine the length of treatment include:

* Area to be treated* Texture of hair* Number of treatments

Permanent Pubic Hair Removal Las Vegas

According to searches, a lot of people seem to be interested in permanent pubic hair removal. Pubic hair removal really isn't too different from other hair removal-- if you want a permanent solution, your options are pretty limited.

Electrolysis is the use of an electrical current sent to the hair root via a needle, 'killing' it and stopping growth of the hair for good. It is not typically done at home and is a long occasionally painful process, one hair must be treated at a time. It takes multiple sessions over a long period of time, but is the most reliable choice for long-term hair removal.

Laser hair removal is the use of a laser which targets a pigment called melanin in the hair, and destroying it. It works best on people with fair skin and dark thick hair, as there is more melanin to target in the hair and less pigment in the skin to hinder the process. It is faster than electrolysis but less thorough, the levels of hair removal vary from person to person. It should be done by a professional and takes repeat treatments for acceptable results.

There are unfortunately some scams out there, claiming to provide permanent hair removal at home. Namely electric tweezers, herbal inhibitors, and dietary supplements claiming to provide permanent hair removal at home should be approached with skepticism at best. Remember, electrolysis and laser hair removal are the only methods proven to provide actual permanent hair removal.
